Regular Income Unit Trust Scheme (Jikimu Fund)

Objectives: is an open–end balanced fund which aims at distributing income, periodically [Quarterly and Annual] and also seeking capital appreciation for investors.

Plans: The scheme offer investment under three plans-(a) Quarterly Income distribution plan, (b) Annual Income distribution plan and (c) Annual Reinvestment plan.

Eligible Investor(s): Open for Investment to resident Individual Tanzanians and Non Resident Individual Tanzanians.

Minimum Initial Investment: For quarterly income plan. TZS 2 million; Annual income plan TZS 1 million; Annual reinvestment plan: TZS 5,000/=

Additional Investment: TZS 15,000/= for any of the income plan and TZS 5,000/= for annual reinvestment plan; without any upper limit.

Tax benefits: As per current laws, Income distributed by the respective plans is exempt from Income Tax in the hands of Investors. There is no tax deduction at source on Repurchase, irrespective of the repurchase amount for resident investors.

Flexibility: Unit holders shall have the flexibility to alter the allocation of their investments among the scheme(s) offered by the UTT, in order to suit their changing investment needs, by easily switching between the scheme(s) plans at NAV, with no extra service charge subject to the conditions and eligibility of the respective schemes/plans.
